We are continuing to grow

We are growing rapidly, and making progress toward our goals.  We ask your help to recruit new members so that our voice can be strengthened in Washington and with Kodak. Please send a message to other retirees who might become EKRA members. Encourage them to sign up through our website at www.ekra.org.

We need people to do the work

We now have eleven people actively involved in managing and building EKRA, and four who are helping with Benefits. However, we can use your help! We ccould use more people to work  on the three major efforts that we've identified:

Managing the organization--

We need people to help with:

  • desktop computer skills for website maintenance,
  • Finance and accounting skills to manage our dues, pay bills and develop reports for our members and appropriate government agencies.

Developing plans to talk with Kodak stakeholders--

We need people who have

  • benefits, business research and analysis skills to help assess all the options we might have to preserve or supplant our current benefits.

Planning Government Advocacy--

We need people with government relations experience or interest especially at the federal level. We need your help in visiting the offices of  U.S.Representatives and Senators throughout the country.   With health care reform high on the national agenda, these sessions will be critical for us to clarify our concerns.

We need people to serve on our board of directors--

We're looking for people who are leaders, have served on not for profit boards, and are collaborative.  We're looking for people who can work with others to develop a vision and oversee activities that will accomplish that vision.

Please send us an e-mail, info@ekra.org , if you want to be a member of one of these teams.

Feedback

We have plans for conducting member surveys but always welcome your opinions and ideas.  Please send your messages to me at rvvolpe@ekra.org .
