What we do

Bob Volpe, EKRA President

EKRA develops and provides objective pension and benefit information and alternatives to our members so that they can make better decisions about their financial risks and security.

EKRA also uses this information to advocate for our members’ interests with Kodak and government.

We will achieve our purposes through the following activities:

We will meet and communicate with Kodak stakeholders to discuss win/win options. In addition, we shall associate and lobby directly and indirectly with other organizations at the local, state, and national levels.

What we don't do

We do not intend to fight Kodak for reinstatement of the benefits we have lost. We are only focusing on how to manage any possible further declines in the future. We hope to engage and exchange perspectives with Kodak stakeholders in ways that can achieve win/win outcomes.

In addition, we offer no individual counseling services.

We can't:

  • Replicate former Kodak HR services
  • Replace services of call centers
  • Offer advice about the best health plan or what to do with SIP

Why join?

Wondering what might happen to your pension and health care after Kodak’s bankruptcy?

This is the big question retirees are asking. EKRA has the answers. You don’t need to do anything now about your coverage. Your Kodak coverage is still in effect and will be for many months.

It will be a while before the bankruptcy court decides what will happen to retiree health care coverage.

However, you should join EKRA today. Being an EKRA member affirms that you want EKRA to represent you in court proceedings. The $15.00 membership fee supports EKRA’s operating costs such as paying for this website, and member forums.

The EKRA volunteer team is working to represent retirees in the court and find health care alternatives in case our court effort is not successful. Monitor EKRA’s progress and learn what alternatives you might have should you need them. Sign up now! Go to Join/Renew
